Our Alcohol Breath tube uses time-proven chemistry to create the
only disposable breath alcohol test that gives estimates of
alcohol level. Law enforcement first used this technology over
40 years ago.
Today the Alcohol Breath Tube continues to be used in law enforcement, industry, corrections agencies, and alcohol treatment programs as an effective and economical way to measure alcohol levels. When yellow crystals in the Alcohol Breath tube come into contact with alcohol, they change to a green color. The green color moves progressively up the tube in proportion to the amount of alcohol in the breath. The user estimates alcohol level by reading the length of the color change using the scale on the test, much like reading a thermometer. The color change is semi-permanent, and so allows the device itself to be saved as documentation of test results. The Alcohol Breath Tube is available in two models. The ABT-08 has two reagent bands, with scale markings at .04 and .08 % BAC. The ABT-15 has three reagent bands, with scale markings at .05, .10, and .15% BAC. deviceThe Accutrend Plus system is a flexible, hand-held point of care device for the main risk factors of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and lactate. Convenient and rapid detection of Cholesterol, Glucose and Triglyceride as well as determination of blood lactate level from capillary blood.
The Accutrend Plus device offers quantitative results for glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, and lactate directly from capillary blood. For each of these parameters Accutrend Plus uses specially designed test strips from Roche. Accutrend Plus measures the intensity of the reaction color within the reaction layer of the test strip by reflectance photometry and calculates the parameter concentration of the sample through a lot-specific algorithm. The result is displayed in mg/dl or mmol/l (BM-Lactate only in mmol/l) and stored automatically with date, time, and additional information. The Accutrend Plus meter stores up to 100 results for each parameter.
